GPS Live Camera : Location Map Android app · package com.gpslivecamera.app

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 29 August 2026 · Last updated: 3 October 2026

Short version. GPS Live Camera stamps your photos with your live location, address, coordinates and time. Your photos stay on your phone — we never upload them, and we have no server that stores them.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address or phone number. The only information that ever leaves your device is (a) GPS coordinates sent to our own services to look up an address, the local weather and a small satellite map for the stamp, (b) anonymous crash and diagnostic reports, (c) a purchase token if you buy GPS Live Camera Pro, and (d) the data an advertising service receives when an ad is shown (see section 5).

1. Who this policy is from

This policy applies to the Android application GPS Live Camera : Location Map (package name com.gpslivecamera.app), published on Google Play by GPS Live Camera (All India Group), India. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean that developer, and "the app" means that application.

Questions about this policy can be sent to allindiagroupcare@gmail.com.

2. Information the app handles

Data Why the app needs it Where it goes
Precise and approximate location (GPS coordinates) To draw the location stamp on your photo — latitude, longitude, address, map and time. This is the core purpose of the app. Processed on your device. Coordinates are sent off the device only in the cases described in section 3 — to obtain a street address, the local weather and a satellite map thumbnail.
Camera images To take the photo you are stamping. Stay on your device. Photos are saved to your phone's storage and are never uploaded, transmitted or backed up by us.
Crash logs and diagnostics To find and fix crashes and errors. Sent to Google Firebase Crashlytics (see section 4).
App-generated identifiers A random installation identifier created by Firebase, used to group crash reports and to verify that requests come from a genuine copy of the app. Google Firebase. It is not your advertising ID and is not linked to your identity.
Purchase information (only if you buy Pro) To confirm with Google Play that a GPS Live Camera Pro purchase is genuine before it is unlocked. The purchase token and product name are sent to our verification service and to Google Play. We never see your card, UPI or bank details — payment is handled entirely by Google Play.
Advertising ID and ad interaction data (free version, only when ads are shown) To show ads that keep the free version free, to limit how often you see them, and to measure them. Google AdMob (see section 5). Not collected if you have Pro Premium.

The app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, calendar, call logs, SMS messages, files or the other photos in your gallery.

3. How address lookup works

The same rules below also apply to two optional stamp details: the local weather (temperature, humidity, wind) and the satellite map thumbnail. For those, the app sends the coordinates — and nothing else — to our own services on Google Cloud Functions, which ask Open-Meteo (weather) or Google Maps (map image) and return the result. Nothing is stored.

To turn coordinates into a readable address, the app first uses the geocoder built into your Android device. When that is unavailable or returns nothing (for example on devices without Google services, or in areas the device cannot resolve), the app sends the coordinates — and nothing else — to our own lookup service running on Google Cloud Functions (Firebase), which asks a mapping provider for the matching address and returns it to the app.

For those requests:

The district name printed on a photo does not come from that lookup. In India the mapping providers return the revenue division in that field, which can cover several districts, so the app does not print it. Instead the app looks the district up from the PIN code in an offline table that ships inside the app. That lookup makes no network request and sends nothing anywhere. Where a PIN code spans more than one district, the app prints no district at all rather than guess.

That table is derived from the All India Pincode Directory published by the Department of Posts, Government of India, on data.gov.in, made available under the Government Open Data Licence - India (GODL-India).

4. Third-party services we use

The app uses the following Google services. Data they receive is handled under Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with data brokers. Apart from the advertising described in section 5, we do not use it for advertising profiles.

5. Advertising

The free version of the app may show ads from Google AdMob: a banner at the bottom of the photo gallery; occasionally a full-screen ad when you open the gallery; and a full-screen ad when you open the app or come back to it, before the camera appears. You can close a full-screen ad and continue to the app. Full-screen ads are shown one at a time, with at least a few minutes between them, never in the first minutes after you install the app, and never while you are taking a photo. Ads never appear on your photos.

To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from it, device information and how you interact with ads, as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area and the UK), the app asks for your consent before any ad is requested, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time with the Ad privacy choices button at the top of the photo gallery.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in Android Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads). If you buy GPS Live Camera Pro Premium, the app shows no ads and does not start the advertising service at all.

Our own promotion. The place at the bottom of the gallery may sometimes show a one-line promotion, marked "Ad", instead of an AdMob banner, for Free2SMS (free2sms.com), a business messaging service operated by TRISKO INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE LIMITED, a company associated with the developer of this app. This promotion is built into the app: it uses no advertising service, does not use your advertising ID, and sends no information about you. If you tap it, free2sms.com opens in your web browser; the link tells the website that the visit came from this app, and nothing else about you. The website is governed by its own privacy policy. Pro Premium users do not see this promotion. Because Free2SMS serves India, the promotion is shown only on phones whose SIM card, mobile network or region setting is Indian: the app reads that two-letter country code on your phone to decide, and the country code is not sent anywhere and needs no extra permission.

6. Permissions the app requests

Android permissionWhat it is used for
CAMERA Taking the photo that is stamped. The camera is used only while the camera screen is open.
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION
ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION
Reading your current location for the stamp. Location is read only while the app is open and in use — the app has no background-location permission and does not track you when it is closed.
com.android.vending.BILLING Buying GPS Live Camera Pro through Google Play. Used only when you open the Pro screen or restore a purchase.
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS
Added by Google AdMob to show and measure ads in the free version (see section 5). These are not shown as prompts; you control them in Android's ad and privacy settings.

You can withdraw any permission at any time in Android Settings → Apps → GPS Live Camera → Permissions. Without the location permission the app can still take photos, but it cannot stamp them with a location.

7. Retention and deletion

Because the app has no accounts and stores nothing about you on a server, there is no account for us to delete. If you believe we hold any data about you, write to allindiagroupcare@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

The app is a general-purpose photography utility. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).

9. Security

All network requests use HTTPS/TLS. The app ships with no API keys inside it — the address lookup is done through our own server precisely so that no credential can be extracted from the installed app. Requests to that server are verified with Firebase App Check and are rate limited.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to it. Since the app does not store personal data on our servers, most of these rights are exercised directly on your device: revoke permissions, delete photos, or uninstall the app. For anything else, contact us at the address below.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will also be described in the app's Google Play release notes.
